A prolific Tamil short story writer, Geetha has more than 350
publications to her credit.

The story 'Irugiyathu Mudichu' won the Ananda Vikatan Magalir Potti price in the '70's and began her writing career with notable fanfare. She received the prestegious Ilakkiya Chindanai literary award in 1984 for her short story 'Velaikku Pogum Marumagal''.

She was the first female editor for Kumudam's ladies' magazine 'Malar Malligai', and retained that position for a two year span. She had a feature page, Geetha Bennett Pakkam, in Thendral magazine for two years and will resume writing presently.

Her three collections, 'Avanum Avalum', 'Irugiyathu Mudichu' 'Athaiyum Thaandi Punithamaanathu' have done well in Indian book stores and are available on request through this website.
